The mural is a part of the statewide Ivy Tech Martin Luther King Jr Legacy Project, an ARTivism exhibition to honor King’s legacy. ARTivism is artwork that doubles as activism, meant to increase awareness. Students submitted their artwork, and three students were awarded scholarships for first, second, and third places, from Ivy Tech’s Southwest, Kokomo, and Southern Indiana regions, respectively.

The MLK Jr. Legacy Project will tour Ivy Tech campuses across the state, including Ivy Tech Northeast from Feb. 13 to 16.
