College to offer events to celebrate International Education Week in November

BACKGROUND:
International Education Week, from Nov. 14 to 18, is a joint initiative between the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of State, meant “to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide … Education is part of our efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences,” according to the U.S. Department of State website.

Locally, Ivy Tech Community College Northeast is celebrating International Education Week with a schedule of events from Nov. 14 to 19.
