Ivy Tech Community College–Northeast celebrating Month of the Young Child 2013

The Early Childhood Education student organization (IvyAEYC) at Ivy Tech Community College−Northeast is hosting several events during April to celebrate the Month of the Young Child. These events are being sponsored by the Fort Wayne Chapter of the Indiana Association for the Education of Young Children.

Event Schedule:

April 20 
Touch-A-Truck
Children will be able to go in and out of the driver’s cab of smart cars, limousines, construction equipment, fire trucks, first-responder emergency vehicles and more. This is a free, family event sponsored by the Ivy Tech–Northeast Department of Early Childhood Education.

April 22–26
Marianne Musick Memorial Children’s Art Exhibit
Visit the sixth annual community children’s art exhibit featuring some entries made with recycled goods. Begin now to save children’s artwork. Sponsored by the Ivy Tech–Northeast Department of Early Childhood Education.

Labryinth
Students can walk the labrynth and contemplate being young again.
Location: Between the Student Life Center and Harshman Hall (4900 St. Joe Road)

April 22, 23 and 24
Ivy Garden Experience
Children from local sites will travel by bus to see the children’s art exhibit and experience a creative learning experience with Ivy Tech–Northeast students.
